Treehouse

We used the room for a quick 7-8 hour nap. From Terminal 1 exit 3, it’s a 10-minute ride on the free shuttle. The building’s a bit old, the room was clean, but the bed and pillows weren’t comfortable. The owner was really helpful over messages, explaining exactly how to get there and leave, and sending the room passcodes. There are two seven-eleven shops right next to it.

The location was great, but the place felt shady overall. It’s in the same building as Hu hotel and has no check-in desk of its own. The Hu hotel clerks said Treehouse might not be legal. The room was spacious, though the walls and kitchen area looked worn and old. The USB outlets didn’t work.

The building is right in front of the International Business Center stop, two to three stops from Terminal 1 on the free ICN airport shuttle. The airport-bound bus stop is across the road, and there are convenience stores nearby. It’s a self check-in hotel, more like a B&B. You get your room number and door code on check-in day. The hardware is a bit aged, and the service was okay.

The free airport shuttle runs 24/7 and drops you right in front of Hotel Hu, where the apartment is located on the upper floors. It’s a different property from the hotel. I appreciated the bottled water and coffee packets. The apartment has a desk, USB charging ports, microwave, fridge, private bathroom with shower, and washer/dryer. It’s spacious, clean, quiet, secure, and has the basics for an affordable overnight stay. Late check-in and checkout are self-service. The host sends the room number and password by text, so you’ll need international data or WiFi to get the details before arrival. Everything was self check-in and checkout, with no contact from a host in person or by phone, and nobody greeted me in the lobby. That was fine for me, but someone visiting for the first time might want help finding the place or advice about local activities. There’s no breakfast, but the price was fair for a no-frills stay. If you can follow directions, you can get to the apartment from the airport and back.
