The town is small, quiet, and slow-paced, so it’s easy to get around on foot and nice for a relaxing stay. There are plenty of eateries and cafes nearby, plus a Daiso and the market, and the bus terminal is less than a five-minute walk away. The owner or staff member was very kind and checked that I was doing okay even though I couldn’t speak the language. We used Google Translate to chat, haha. The room was very clean, with an attached bathroom. It was a good size for two, with a TV, Wi-Fi, lots of plugs, facial care products, a nice-smelling diffuser, and enough space for a suitcase. There was a heater and an air conditioner, though the latter wasn’t needed in winter. The bathroom was spacious and had towels, shampoo, body wash, toothpaste, and plenty of hot water. I only had two small grumbles. There was a lingering tobacco smell at night, presumably because guests are generally allowed to smoke in the room. And there’s no lift. My luggage was light this time, so managing the stairs was okay, but heavier bags would have been an issue.
