We had a renovated, clean room, and the owner was friendly, even though the outside looks a little dated. The beach is right there, and the sunset view toward Biyangdo seems great. I’d planned to watch it over dinner at Hyeopjae Beach, but the view from the accommodation was nice too. I thought we were the only guests the first night, then saw quite a few people having breakfast in the morning. Before breakfast, birds were singing behind the place so sweetly that I listened for about ten minutes.

Breakfast is free and tasty, and the owner is really kind. The room is a bit small, and there’s no album or bed. Everything else was fine. Highly recommended.

The location was inconvenient for me coming by public transport from the airport. It took time and quite a bit of walking, so I'd suggest coming by car if you can. In February 22, two people could expect to pay around 50,000 won in the off season. The place is quiet, though its old exterior matches the dated rooms and amenities. The elderly owner seems to keep it quite clean. There’s a small kitchen in the room, apparently from when it was used as a condo, but I didn’t use it. In the bathroom, they supplied shampoo, soap, shared toothpaste, and towels, with extra towels available downstairs. There’s also a hair dryer, mini-fridge, and IPTV. The sea-facing building has four floors, but no elevator. In winter, the sea breeze made it drafty, though the electric blanket kept the bed warm. There’s a water dispenser in the hall on every floor except the fourth. Breakfast is served from 7 to 9, I think. It’s rice, soup, a small grilled fish, seaweed, kimchi, and a little salad. It tasted good, and we each had two bowls, serving ourselves from the rice cooker.

The place is a little old, but breakfast made the stay great. It was a nicely prepared Korean meal. Hyeopjae Beach is close enough for a relaxed walk, and amenities are easy to get to.

The place is old and didn't feel especially clean, but the landlady really stood out. She was friendly, and the room had neatly arranged bedding and a tidy kitchen counter. For a quiet, out-of-the-way stay at a reasonable price, with an old-fashioned feel, it isn't bad. Breakfast is served at 8:00 a.m. Guests can enjoy drinks and things they bought at the market while looking forward to the grandmother's rustic cooking. Our two nights at Badagurigi Pension made for a fun and meaningful Jeju Island trip.
