Baebae Guesthouse

The host was so friendly and helped us figure out sightseeing and bus routes. Our room faced the sea, which was soothing to wake up to. We used buses for most of our trip, and having a bus stop nearby made getting around easy. It was also a really nice, quiet place.

The owner was helpful, though they didn’t speak English. The room was clean, and both the shower and AC worked well. Breakfast was very basic: coffee, stale bread for toast, butter, jam, and eggs. It was fine.

It felt a little scary at first because the place seemed isolated, and there aren’t any shops or other facilities within walking distance. But the view! It’s a cute, cozy spot, and the landlord is super friendly. They introduced us to Jeju beer. Breakfast is self-made, with free eggs, toast, and orange juice. The place was clean, and there’s a heater on the mattress.

You can walk to the Sinchang windmill tourist spot, and the windmills are visible from the room window. This modern home is in a quiet little town, with neat, comfortable rooms and high-standard furniture and utilities. There’s no TV in the rooms, which is a nice way to take a break from urban life, though there is one in the dining area. High-speed Wi-Fi is available in every room. The friendly owner manages the guesthouse alone and has a small farm next door. The watermelon served at breakfast came from there. Bread, butter, jam, and eggs are kept in the fridge for a self-service breakfast.
