Baozen Guesthouse

The low reviews are there for a reason. I ignored them, thinking it might be okay, but it wasn't. Don't be tempted by the price or trust the pictures. I wouldn't stay here.

This place is really good, despite all the people saying bad things about it. Maybe they aren't real travelers; I can't imagine them sleeping on the street, camping at a construction site, or even on the beach. Sure, the building is old, but it's clean, the facilities are cared for, there's hot water and good Wi-Fi, and the mama boss is very nice!! I recommend it to people who don't mind an older building. 🙏🏼🥰

Everything felt poorly kept. There was a strong, unpleasant cigarette smell everywhere, hair on the sheets and badly made beds. The pillows were uncomfortable, the furniture was very old and didn't work well, and the towels had holes. I couldn't open the room window either.

At least the Wi-Fi worked. The rest was awful. We arrived at 6pm and found the staff in the middle of “cleaning,” but it didn't look like much was getting done. Food leftovers were on the dirty floor, the room smelled of cigarettes, and the curtains were stained. Furniture was damaged, one light was broken and hanging from the ceiling, the toilet kept running, and the bathtub was clogged. This place would be good for shooting a horror movie.
