Breakfast had a nice mix of continental choices and local dishes made with fresh island ingredients. The staff at reception were welcoming and professional, and there's a decent open-air parking lot right beside the building. The hotel sits in the middle of the city. The room was roomy and nicely decorated in a modern, chic style, though it felt rather dark and didn't get much natural light. The toiletries weren't complimentary, so I decided to bring my own next time.

Once we got past the rather cool welcome at reception, the staff turned out to be really helpful and full of good advice when we spoke with them later. Still, the towels were worn thin and had holes, which brought down my facilities score. Our taxi driver didn't know where the hotel was and dropped us at the wrong spot after asking the hotel for directions, so arrival got off to a bad start. The in-room toiletries cost 5,000 KRW, which felt a bit harsh, and the room smelled of cigarette smoke despite this being a nonsmoking hotel.

The room had the feel of an old castle. Really nice.
