Grabel Hotel Jeju

The room’s condition was a real letdown. There was visible mold and staining, and it looked dirty overall. Housekeeping came every day, but many areas still seemed unclean. For a hotel advertised as 4-star, the room didn’t meet that standard, and the stay didn’t feel like a 4-star experience.

We only stayed two nights, which was enough for me. Water from both the shower and sink faucets made the bathroom smell like sewage, in my opinion, and the place didn’t feel very clean. The carpets were stained despite the long list of rules guests get at check-in about keeping things clean. We didn’t make it up to the rooftop pool or bar. The photos make the rooms look a lot nicer than they are.

We stayed from 20 to 25 September, and on 21 Sep our rental car got stuck on the kerb after we took a wrong turn leaving the open-air car park. Mr. Lee, Jung Kwan, Assistant Manager, calmly helped us contact the rental company, collected all the details patiently, and followed up for us. His caring, reassuring manner made us feel well looked after. It was a busy Sunday morning with lots of guests checking out, which made his patience and professionalism especially appreciated. Thanks again for the amazing support. We’ll definitely return!

There isn’t much to do nearby, and the hotel feels more like a wedding destination. The pool looks much bigger in the pictures than it really is, and it doesn’t open until 11 AM. I’ve never stayed at a resort or hotel where the pool stayed closed until lunchtime, which was really disappointing. The only sunbathing spot is covered, too?
