Hi Residences

The air conditioner stopped working, and the room became so hot and stuffy that we couldn’t sleep. Opening the window wasn’t much help because the room faced a busy walking street. We called the host around noon after waking up, but got no reply until we contacted Airbnb support. That was a full day after our first message, even though the host could apparently reset the air conditioner remotely. We’d already lost sleep over another issue: the closed window wasn’t sealing properly, so wind made a high-pitched noise. The host didn’t answer our polite requests about that either, and we finally managed to fix it ourselves after dealing with it for a day and night. We visited Jeju for the first time and left with a lot of frustration. I’d give this place minus stars if I could. On top of everything, we were charged €20 for a bedsheet stain that came from my washable eye cover. I’d washed it out of my own bedsheet before. If something goes wrong, the host may not respond, even when it’s easy to fix, and a washable stain may still cost you €20. I’d avoid this place.

For a downtown Jeju stay, this place worked really well for me. It’s right by the pedestrian shopping street, with easy access to buses around downtown and the island. The room was simple and a good price, and I liked having a kitchen for breakfast plus a washing machine for my beach and hiking clothes. Check-in and check-out were self-service and easy. They sent the instructions on WhatsApp in English and Korean, and I had no trouble following them. I’d recommend it.

I got to Jeju at 6 in the morning, well before the 3 p.m. check-in, and they kindly let me into the room early so I could rest. They also replied quickly. The room was clean and nice. I’d suggest staying here.

There are shops all around, and the room was great for the price. It had what I needed, aside from personal items. I liked the automatic check-in too, since there was no key to worry about and it saved time. A very nice place to spend the night in Jeju.
