Hongyang Pension

Hongyang Pension has left me furious. I planned my Jeju trip and booked a cheap pension, but they canceled my reservation on their own, claiming they were closed because of COVID-19. My stay was in September, so that excuse made no sense to me. Then I searched again and saw they were accepting bookings at higher prices. It felt like COVID-19 was just a false excuse to cancel my reservation. They canceled my bookings for September 8th and 9th and said the refund had been issued. To check, I booked again, and they canceled that reservation too. They told me about the cancellation on June 3rd, but the refund still hadn’t come through. Samsung Card told me they hadn’t received the cancellation slip. I still haven’t gotten my money back. I recently spoke with the pension manager at the Jeju Aewol-eup office and filed a complaint with the consumer complaint center. The more I think about it, the more absurd it seems. When I called to cancel, the woman on the phone kept saying she didn’t know anything, then hung up. She said right away that she couldn’t answer when I called about the reservation, so I called back from a landline. The call rang, but nobody picked up. After that, my number was blocked. Just hearing Hongyang Pension’s name irritates me. Planning a Jeju Island trip is hard enough... ㅜㅜ Places like this leave travelers with bad memories of Jeju.
