Hotel G

We picked this basic, no-frills place after our flight was cancelled because it was cheap and about 2km from the airport. Check-in was fine, though the guy initially said no rooms were available until 3pm. When we asked for an early check-in, he offered rooms if we paid him 10000 won in cash. After that, two rooms were available. The room was small and basic but met our needs. The key has a big keychain so it’s hard to lose. The toilet is to the right as you enter, with the bedroom door straight ahead. The floor is heated, and the room was clean and neat. The toilet was spacious, and they provided towels, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo and soap. I took off a star because we couldn’t get help with a taxi back to the airport. It was 11am, checkout time, and nobody was at reception. There was a number on a sign to call for a taxi, but we don’t speak Korean and would have struggled. We tried hailing a nearby taxi through the Kakao T app, but nobody accepted. In the end, we hauled 3 suitcases, 2 backpacks and 1 handbag 500m to the nearest bus stop and took Bus 365 to the airport.

It’s affordable and a taxi ride from the airport. Unfortunately, the mattresses were really hard, and our backs hurt in the morning. :/

The room was nice and clean, and there are restaurants and convenience stores nearby. Tourist sites aren't especially close or far, but you do need to take a bus to reach them.

Everything was tidy and clean, and the staff were helpful.
