Hotel Sirius

The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and conditioner was provided. Breakfast was nice too. There’s coin laundry, though detergent isn’t free and has to be bought at the hotel. Two 7-11s are nearby, and the airport is close. It’s on the quieter side, so there isn’t as much around. There’s no water dispenser, but they do leave free bottled water each day. Pleasant stay, I’d recommend it.

The room was clean and the lobby fairly tidy, and parking was free. But the stay was disappointing, especially for somewhere advertised on Booking.com as four stars. It felt more like a three-star place, with very basic service, and I wouldn’t recommend it. The electrical setup was frustrating. The room outlets were 220V with no international voltage option. Of the three outlets at the dressing table, none worked properly: the desk lamp didn’t work at all, and the hairdryer kept slipping out, so it couldn’t be used properly. Staff English was quite limited. Check-in and check-out were manageable, but asking for reminders or other help would be extremely difficult. That made the hotel feel very unfriendly for foreign visitors. I was also surprised that using the swimming pool costs extra. I think the fee was around 2,000 Korean won. I’d never heard of that before and wondered why there was an extra charge.

This was the only hotel on our 13-day tour of Korea where we could use an indoor swimming pool.

The location worked well, with plenty of restaurants around, and parking was free. The hotel looked nice and was clean, though a little dated. They couldn’t provide bowls, plates, or cutlery, and I couldn’t find any body lotion in the room.
