I found the room nothing like the website photos. The mattress and pillows were dirty and had a musty smell, and cracks covered the walls. It felt as if nobody had stayed there in 10 years. When I raised this with the owner, she arrogantly refused to move us to another room. One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had.

The location is a real plus, with buses, shops, and a coastal walk nearby. Starbucks, McDonald's, convenience stores, and the traditional market are all within a 10-minute walk. The hostel has a lobby and a rooftop, but no other shared spaces. There’s just one chair in the lobby and no tables. You can use the hot water tap and eat in your room, which might matter if you’re on a tight budget and want to work out the costs.

One of the worst places I stayed during six months of traveling around Asia and more than 100 hotels. I won’t go into the details.

The price was affordable, and it was close to the airport. There were quite a lot of mosquitoes, but the other services were nice.
