Mega Resort

The room was clean and roomy, and for a one-night stay it was comfortable. There’s a little kitchen where you can cook, which is handy if you’d rather make your own meals. Outside, the balcony had bird droppings and didn’t look like it was cleaned regularly. There were lots of local restaurants just outside, and the seaside was a relaxing place to walk. You can see windmills out on the ocean, which adds some local charm. One thing I wasn’t used to was that the room only came with small face towels, not regular full-sized ones. They didn’t give enough coverage, especially when traveling with friends, if you know what I mean, so I asked for extra.

Not a cozy place to stay. The air conditioning was very loud, or else the street noise was, and the bathroom was in pretty poor shape.

The mini beach and the sea view from the window were the clear highlights for me. If that’s what you’re looking for, this place could work well. But anyone who’s particular about cleanliness probably won’t like it. When we checked in, we found a lot of dust and hair, and the bathroom fixtures and mirror were smeared with soap. We stayed a week and the room never got wet-cleaned, even after we asked. We were given four small towels, though they’ll replace them free of charge.

Right by the ocean, with restaurants, cafes, a convenience store, and a bus stop right outside. Hyeopjae Beach and Hallim Park are close too, so there’s plenty to do nearby. The rooms are good and spacious, with a kitchen area and a TV that has Netflix. Mega Resort is an affordable, pleasant option. I’m giving it four stars because the bathroom drain gave us trouble just before we left. Apart from that, everything was perfect.
