With City Hotel

The front desk was kind and kept my luggage until check-in, and I enjoyed my stay. My room was spacious and very clean; I liked the restroom and closet, and the fridge and tea pot were just right. My phone charger kept falling out of the socket for some reason, but when I asked, the front desk gave me heavy-duty tape. The hotel is close to a convenience store and, especially useful, bus stops. I took a public bus to and from the airport. The stay was well worth the price.

The room had a strange smell and didn't feel completely clean. There are plenty of better hotels in Jeju city at the same price or less.

I regret staying here. The receptionist was unhelpful and unprofessional, and communication was difficult because the staff seemed to have very limited language skills. Their English wasn't good enough for what I needed, and even basic conversation was a struggle. The only phrase they seemed to know was “one more night?” They also struggled when I tried Chinese, and the Google Translate messages they relied on were often confusing. That made sorting out any problems really frustrating. I was also concerned by how they treated us as foreign guests. It felt like local guests (KR) were prioritized while we were treated indifferently, which left me with the impression that foreigners weren't valued. The property itself has potential, but the service and treatment fell short. Tourists should know that they may not be able to communicate well in English or Chinese. I hope this helps others deciding whether to stay.

The room was great and had a nice view of mount halla. The hotel is near the shopping street and lotte mall. You can leave your luggage in front of the lobby, and the receptionist is available from 07.00 am to 01.00 am. If you need to check out early in the morning, you can leave your key on the reception desk.
