I wanted to experience a Hanok stay in Korea, and this place looked interesting. It’s inside Hanok Village, and I took a taxi from Jeonju station. Since I arrived on a weekend, traffic was restricted. There’s no staff on site. You find the room with your name on it, go in, and read the instructions there. My room was very small and basic, though it had a fridge and heated floor. You can hear noise through the walls. The location is great, but the room felt cramped and the futon was too thin for a comfortable stay.

The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the room and toilet were clean. There’s also a lovely little green yard. Jeonju is beautiful to wander around, with restaurants and cafes everywhere. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Jeonju.

Rooms have TVs and private bathrooms with toiletries and hairdryers. The Pungnamheon House in Jeonju Hanok Village offers free Wi-Fi and fully air-conditioned rooms, along with non-smoking room options. Jeonju Hanok Village is 4 minutes away, while Jeonju Sound Culture Center and Sunggangjae are both 200 m away. Donghak Peasant Revolution Memorial Hall is about 2 minutes away, and the Jeonju Traditional Liquor Museum is a 3-minute trip.
