Jeonju Jeongdam Hanok Stay

The owner was lovely and made me feel so welcome as a solo tourist. She made breakfast in the morning, was super helpful, and always tried to assist even though her English wasn’t the best. She also gave me useful travel tips. The little place itself is absolutely stunning. I’d go back!

The Duplex Deluxe room had enough space for the two of us, and we really enjoyed the Hanok experience. The value for money was excellent. The service was great, with free coffee, tea, and water, and a full, tasty breakfast served in the room: egg, toast, fresh fruit, and sesame porridge. The staff were very kind and helpful, arranging a taxi and bringing an extra mattress when we asked. The location is perfect in the Hanok village. Just keep in mind that a futon can feel a bit tough after a long day if you’re not used to sleeping on one. Still, it was worth trying.

The breakfast they made for us each morning was delicious and thoughtful, and gave the stay a warm, personal touch. The host welcomed us so warmly that we felt at home as soon as we arrived. I stayed here in June and found the house charming, cozy, and inviting. Being so central also made it easy to explore the city. I highly recommend it for a comfortable, homey stay with such warm hospitality in a great location. We had a fantastic time.

The bathroom is small, the water pressure can be inconsistent, and the ladder up to the loft sleeping area is quite steep. It may not work so well for families with young children and lots of luggage. Still, we had a great stay in this beautiful Hanok right in the middle of the hanok village. The owners were friendly and kind, and even went out of their way to hail us a cab when we left. We especially liked the delicious breakfast they served each morning. A good choice if you’re after an authentic Hanok experience :)
