Neulpum Hotel

The room itself was comfortable and had a good amount of space and amenities, but our experience with the receptionist at Neulpum was awful. She was the least helpful person we met during our trip to S. Korea(SK), and communicated only through the PAPGO translation app. When we had to cancel our original booking and rebook for a different date, she charged the full cancellation fee and wouldn't apply it to the new dates. We had a 6.26 am train to Seoul and needed to leave by 5.45 am, so we asked her the night before to book a taxi. Uber doesn't work in Jeonju, and we didn't have a Korean telephone # for Kakao taxi. She said she couldn't help. On May 29th, a public holiday in SK, we stood in POURING rain for an hour with no taxi, missed the train, and went back to the hotel soaked. We had to wait until she arrived at 7.30 am. She listened without any expression or sympathy, then booked us a taxi. We also paid to change our train tickets to a later one and traveled standing for 2 hours to Seoul. People in South Korea had been kind, generous, and helpful to us, but this cold, impersonal lady was the exception.
