Jeonju Pungnamheon Hanok Stay

With the futon spread out, the small double room was so cramped that two people with their bags couldn't even open the door. The manager's answer was to leave our luggage outside or pay extra to move to a bigger room. The listing didn't make this clear, and Agoda apparently treated it as normal and didn't find a solution that worked for both the property and us. There are less expensive hanok places nearby with more space and more helpful staff. I'd avoid this one, and don't expect Agoda to support you if something goes wrong.

The hanok is cute and sits close to lots of sights, including Gonggijeon Hall, Cathedral, Jeonmang Cafe, and Hanok Village. The Jeonju Express Bus Station is about a 6-8 minute taxi ride away, around 5,000 won. I don't know of any parking there. Our room was a bit of a squeeze for three, especially since we're on the bigger side, but the bed was comfortable and the ondol heating worked well. The toilet bowl moved, though, and the bathroom had no heat at all. In winter, be ready for a freezing cold seat while you do your business!🥶 Breakfast is included, with jam and bread, fruit, and coffee. There's no free hot or cold water refill, and you can't have ramyeon at night.😜 I would've rated it five stars if we hadn't come in winter. Still, book here if you like, you'll enjoy your stay.

It's a quiet, safe area, and the room was clean. The host was friendly and helpful, and the location is convenient. Highly recommend staying here.

I felt relaxed and at ease staying here, and would definitely come back if I get the chance. The room was really clean, and the location is convenient, right in the heart of the city and Hanok Village. The owner was also very kind, the breakfast was delicious, and the inside felt free and comfortable, so I’ll be sure to visit again if I get the chance.. The proprietress was very friendly, and breakfast was delicious.
