Jinju Hotel Owl

You can get a simple breakfast here and watch Netflix, and the price is reasonable. What really makes the place stand out, though, is the owls: they’re on the walls and even on every towel. I’ve stayed in plenty of places, but can’t think of another quite like this. It may not feel very romantic for a couple, and you’d have to be okay with owls everywhere, but it’s definitely one of a kind.

The room was clean and nice, and the location is great. Breakfast had several kinds of bread and cup noodles, and the service was excellent. But the cigarette smell in the room was so strong that I slept with the window open all night. It was bad enough to make me give the place just one star.

Good value, and I had nothing else to complain about. Just be careful with the cold water tap: the pressure is strong, so open it only a little and mix in hot water if you want a hot shower.

The room was dirty and uncomfortable, and 70,000 won felt like a waste. A spilled drink hadn’t been wiped up properly from the floor, so my slippers kept sticking even though I was wearing them. Better maintenance would help. This really isn’t worth the price, and I can’t recommend it. Even one star feels too generous.
