Jinju Hotel Servi

One star is far more than this place deserves.

For a price this low, I'd come back plenty of times. The self check in was simple, and you pick up the items right in front of you. Check out was at an unreasonable time, though. The bathroom smelled of cigarettes, the interior finish was a bit rough, there were bugs once in a while, and noise carried between floors. Still, the price is almost unbelievably cheap.

They were friendly, and I appreciated getting a VIP room when the one I booked wasn't available. I just wish they'd put more care into the interior. If they worked on that, I think this could be worth five stars.

The location was convenient, near a department store, and the bathroom looked clean, possibly because it had been remodeled. The outside looked tidy too. But the floor and bedding were dirty, and the covers had stains even though they seemed to have been changed. There wasn't enough toilet paper, and what was there was wet and uncomfortable to use. We came as a family for an Air Force graduation ceremony and booked four rooms. After getting the keys, I went out on an errand while the others checked in. One day, I was alone in my room when staff used the intercom, rang, and knocked. I was washing when they called out and startled me. I checked the hallway and saw nobody, then went back inside and asked what was going on. They said the check-out sign was up, asked how I had got in, and hung up. I remembered them leaving the room after I handed over the keys and went to wash, and they made some incoherent comment about a check-out sign. They also came up to the fifth-floor hallway and watched us going in and out. I understand they were trying to prevent accidents, but it made things really inconvenient. Every time we returned, we had to give them our room number. They were friendly, maybe overly so. The parking lot was small, and they even told us things like which way to turn the wheels. I get that they were managing the situation, but they seemed too sensitive about it and should have focused more on cleanliness. There were also complaints about ID checks in other reviews, but no one checked ours. I watched an early morning soccer game, then went to shower, but the water wasn't warm. It felt like they had only set it so it wouldn't be too cold, and I was shivering. The floor heating seemed broken: even on low it was as hot as high, and when I turned it off, it got cold. I couldn't sleep well. The interior seemed clean on the surface, perhaps because of remodeling, but I wouldn't stay here again.
