This is my go-to hotel in Mokpo. It’s straightforward, with clean rooms, windows you can open, an air purifier, and an air dresser. There’s free self-service laundry around the clock, plus a microwave in the hallway and a fridge in the room. The beds have protective plastic that rustles when you move, but I still slept fine and didn’t have any noise trouble. I especially like being able to set the room temperature myself, including turning down the heat in winter when some Korean hotels make the rooms too hot to sleep in. There’s also a Samsung AC. I appreciate that they don’t use those fake air fresheners with fumes that feel toxic to breathe.

The room has a styler and air cleaner, and there’s laundry with a tumble dryer on the 8th floor, all included. Even the 65-inch TV is impressive, with Netflix, Amazon Prime, and more. There’s a great sushi restaurant almost around the corner, along with McDonald’s 😆. I think this is the best value hotel in Korea overall. Absolutely recommend it!

It’s a decent option if you’re paying under 100,000 won, but not so appealing above that. The bathroom drains slowly, and the free toiletries have a strange smell. Also, if I came back without turning on the bathroom fan, the room smelled strongly of cigarettes.

It has the feel of a condo or residence, with spacious, easy parking. The place is quiet and reasonably priced, right downtown, so it would be a great base for a trip to Mokpo.

The room was spacious, and I liked the small massage chair and styler. Having a washing machine was really useful too. There’s a convenience store on the first floor for picking up a few things.
