April 2026. I paid 80,000 KRW for one night in an ocean-view room on the 9th floor. The facilities felt old. Some bathroom wall tiles were a problem, and every so often there was a strong food smell, like kimchi.

Breakfast was a nice bonus, with eggs, toast, cereal, and Korean porridge. It was free, which I appreciated since many hotels we've found in Korea leave it out or charge extra. The hotel is handy for the Mokpo ferry terminal, and the staff were really nice. My room was comfortable, and I loved the bidet and big shower. Also, proper bath towels, not just little hand towels!

We were well placed for visiting the Mokpo cable car, and the ferry port and train station were still just a short taxi ride away. Service was great, and the rooms were very nice. The shower stood out in particular.

We booked a rooftop party room for our three kids, my mom, and us. It was huge but still cozy. There was even a hidden room with a Jacuzzi and noraebang 😍. Loved it.
