Zara Hotel Peace Square

I was told this motel had an ocean view, but I couldn't see where the ocean was. The room itself looked stylish, and as a smoker I appreciated that it wasn't a non-smoking property. They provided face masks and disposable toiletries, plus body wash, shampoo, and lotion in the bathroom. The bathtub was larger than it looked. I arrived late and couldn't find parking, so they said I could use the lot at the Seolleongtang restaurant behind the hotel. In the morning, the restaurant called asking me to move my car, which was a bit of a hassle. The owner apologized personally when I checked out and thanked me. He also handed me a business card, saying he runs a hotel somewhere in Japan, either Osaka or Tokyo, and to contact him if I ever had reason to go there. I'm not sure what that was about, but his service mindset made for a great stay.

It's a cheap hotel and fine for a single night. If you keep your expectations low, you can sleep comfortably.

The room was nearly silent, and the heated mattress made for a comfortable night's sleep. I also really liked the air conditioning. The owner was friendly, and the price was excellent.

The location is great, but the rooms are cramped and dirty. They didn't sweep or mop, just let things pile up. We asked twice for large towels and instead got cleaning products to do the bathroom ourselves. We stayed only two days and asked for a refund for the remaining four, but they refused. Unacceptable.
