The guesthouse cafe and convenience store were both being managed by just one guy. The refrigerator in the kitchen smelled so bad that I didn’t want to put anything in it. The room didn’t feel clean, and I wasn’t sure the room or bed linen had actually been washed. There was a strong perfume-like smell, apparently to cover something unpleasant, and the floor and bedding felt greasy and slippery.

The pub food was very good, but the breakfast room wasn’t clean enough for us. Our bedroom was right above the kitchen and got too noisy, and there were no curtains on the windows.

I found this place on YouTube while looking for somewhere near Deogyusan Mountain. Getting there was convenient, and the location worked perfectly for climbing. There’s a convenience store, or market, on the first floor, handy for buying food and supplies. The room was small but cozy, with what I needed and its own bathroom. The price felt very reasonable, and breakfast was included. After the hike, that hearty meal gave me a boost, and I got to enjoy beautiful Deogyusan Mountain. Thank you.

For Muju, where places to stay are hard to find, this is reasonably priced and worth recommending. A private room can be booked for a very affordable rate. The floor was warm when I came in, and there was plenty of hot water. The TV kept switching itself on and off, which was annoying, and breakfast upkeep seemed a little neglected, maybe because there weren’t many guests.
