Kensington Resort Jirisan Namwon

The rooms are very spacious, and the staff went out of their way to help me feel at ease and communicate in English since I don't speak Korean. This has a resort feel while still being in a small town, tucked into Korea's mountains at the base of a mountain with wide, beautiful sky views. The town is close and handy for shopping and eating, and the resort has what you'd expect from a Korean-style resort.

A good fit if you want a large room with a kitchen near Jirisan national park. The rooms were updated around 2019, though this isn't a 5 star hotel. It's perfectly fine as a Korean style hotel room.

For the price, I think there are quite a few things this average hotel could improve. Maybe hotels in this part of the country are like this, or maybe I expect more as an American. It's busy, either way. The main problems for me were the medium-sized towels for drying off and the bathroom and toilet not being separate.

It's an old hotel with a roomy bedroom but a really small bathroom. The location is great, the window view is perfect, and the staff were helpful. I didn't try the food, but the lobby coffee shop's coffee was worse than the processed coffee at the small CU convenience store on B1.
