A few months later, I came back and found that the owner was gone and a lady had returned. She said the room was 60,000 won, but offered a special 50,000 won since it wasn't my first visit. What is that supposed to mean when it's under 50,000 won on Yanolja? -_- Management seemed poor too. The socks for business travelers and the early toast and breakfast were gone. There were cockroaches in the room, the styler smelled, the TV channels didn't work, and there was no toilet paper in the bathroom. I turned on the hot water because it was so cold, and steam filled the room, but the water didn't even flow properly. It's hard to believe such a nice place became this messy in just a few months. I don't know where to stay in Namwon anymore, so I guess I'll have to rest in Jeonju, an hour away. It's a shame to have my first review be about a place like this. Namwon Queens Unmanned Hotel used to be one of the top two motels in Namwon. The owner would come down to explain how to use the room, and if you called in the morning, they'd provide sandwiches and fresh milk for breakfast. It was the only motel in Namwon with a styler, and every room had one. The styler never seemed to get cleaned, so it was well maintained and didn't smell. For a quick hygiene check at a motel, look at the refrigerator or coffee pot. The careful details in the layout were obvious, and even the pot seemed high quality. There were room controls in the hallway and by the bed, alongside the ceiling air conditioner and remote. Towels were provided in both the guest room and bathroom, so you didn't have to move around much. Chunhyang Theme Park was a five-minute walk away, and the motel had a great view of Namwon's nightscape. 👍
