Nonsan Mountain Hotel

The cigarette smell was overpowering. I hate that smell, and even using the bathroom made me nauseous. I also had a terrible experience with the service. I can’t fit every detail here, but someone other than the person who’d made the inquiry answered the phone. They didn’t explain what was going on and instead made sarcastic, mocking comments about military service. I don’t know whether the person was an employee or a part-timer. My father got angry about this and raised his voice at the desk, but even then we got no sincere apology or proper explanation. Most customers in this area are military families, so I hope they think about whether treating people this way makes sense. I booked through the Yanolja app and posted a review, which was reported right away. I got a notification about a reply early in the morning, but it was edited and then deleted. When I called to ask, they shouted that it was too early and they couldn’t answer. I was stunned by how rude they were to everyone, whatever their age or gender. May 23, 2025: I’m adding this after editing the owner's comment on Yanolja. I remember the phone conversation about my review from about a month ago. Today, a month later, I went back to the app intending in good faith to delete it. Then I saw the owner telling me not to bother him, and felt aggrieved, almost as if I were the one who’d done something wrong. When my parents asked about the bathroom, I clearly said which room they were staying in. Even if that wasn’t heard, if they were calling to check whether I was a guest, shouldn’t they have checked the other rooms too? I don’t understand how they decided our room was the one in question and called us straight away. And did they really need to speak informally and ask, “Are you going to the military tomorrow?” to find out if I was a guest? It feels bad to get rude questions and casual speech, even if a young person answered the phone. The reservation page didn’t say the place was unmanned, and someone was there when we checked in. How were we supposed to know? We paid a fair price to stay at the motel, and we think we have the right to complain when problems come up. Instead, they threatened to sue us for obstructing business. We asked for a proper apology and got only a perfunctory one. After apologizing, they kept editing the review and blaming us, leaving us feeling like we were at fault. I’m at a loss for words.
