Pohang Red House Ocean Hills Pension

The heated pool was great for the kids, and the facilities were neat. The rooms were clean too!!!

The location is a little far from the city center, which made sightseeing less convenient, and there weren’t many good restaurants close by. Still, the room and the rest of the place were so pretty and clean, like a caring owner had looked after everything. We could see the refreshing ocean right away through the room’s floor-to-ceiling window. We stayed for two days. After swimming, my kids and I relaxed and played in the in-room heated jacuzzi, which costs extra. The heated infinity pool also had a beautiful sea view, and we were comfortable swimming there. They provided life vests and kickboards, and the lobby handed out extra towels. We also visited Japanese House Street since Guryongpo is nearby. It was a pretty, comfortable place to rest during our first visit to Pohang.

The room had a strong fishy odor, and it even seemed to come back through the bathroom. Still, the large pool and snack bar on site made it easy to eat and enjoy ourselves.

The room was clean and the facilities were good, but I was disappointed with the heated pool. I paid a lot for it, expecting the big pool outside, and found it was only a large bathtub in the room. For that, I could have spent 10,000 won at a local sauna.
