Elf Pension

The resort looked gorgeous from a distance, covered in white snow. Elf Spa Resort Hotel was a wonderful place to stay in Gangwon-do, the Winter Olympic Place 2018. We saw a lot of foreigners there, and I guessed many had come to ski and enjoy the snow. We explored the resort and enjoyed the winter scenery before going to our room. There were lots of things for both children and adults, including a Kid's Cafe, Natural Snow Sled Park, swimming pool, and Kid's Park. My kids were thrilled to see so much snow, which is unusual in Seoul. They made a snowman and played outside without feeling cold, then rode sleds on the large slope used as a natural snow sled park. Sleds were available to buy or rent. After a long time outside, we started feeling cold and went indoors. The doorplate had the words we'd requested written on it, which looked pretty. The resort also had a restaurant, convenience store, seminar room, and laundry room for guests. There were events too, like magic shows and trout catching. I really recommend visiting Elf Spa Resort Hotel in winter, at the Winter Olympic Place 2018.

There is no compassion here, just profit seeking. The dogs are chained outside all year, even in the snow. They don't get bathed or proper care, and they never get taken for walks. There's also a so-called "zoo" with animals kept in boxes to attract families.

The rooms are worn down and falling apart, and they charge for everything except toiletries. The place is much more highly rated in its advertising than it deserves.

A nice place for a family retreat. The staff were friendly, service was great, and communication was prompt.
