Pine Forest

This was the worst place I've ever been.

We stayed in a clean, pleasant room, but the pots and pans were worn and awkward to use, with their coating peeling off. From the eighth-floor room, the view was lovely, and the full-length living room windows gave a clear look outside. There's not much to do at the resort, and there's little around it, so bring your own food. Karaoke is available, but it costs 1,000 won per song. Canoeing wasn't available.

The room was clean, spacious, and had a kitchenette by the dining table, so you could cook. The indoor parking was convenient in winter, and we thought the resort offered good value. We stopped overnight on the way from Yongpyong. Food choices seem limited: I heard there's a resort restaurant, but it apparently only serves breakfast on Sundays, while Saturday dinner is an outdoor barbecue. Delivery isn't available due to the location, and there isn't a resort restaurant. Nearby, 'Masitne Masitne' is right in front, and 'Mulsori Baramsori' is a little farther away. I highly recommend Mulsori Baramsori. The snack bar behind the lobby on the fourth floor costs much more than a convenience store, but there isn't another option.

The mountain and valley views are lovely, and it's quiet and peaceful enough to really rest. The bedding was even better than I expected, like what you'd find in a luxury hotel, and the price felt like great value.
