The snowy mountain setting was a treat, and our dog had a great time sledding with us. The cabin opens onto an incredible view that felt really restorative. It got quite cold outside at night, so the private room felt hot and dry, and we hung up plenty of towels to add some humidity. I’d like to return in spring or fall. I hope that warm, positive feeling stays with our family.
There’s something distinct about this mountain lodge. The owners are a couple who’ve spent their lives by the motto “Always, Immediately, and Joyfully!” and they can have a gentle conversation with people of any religion.
We had a fun time sledding in the snow at Riun Mountain Lodge.
The view was great, and the BBQ party made for a relaxing break.
