The bay view is a real highlight, especially from a seaside room. You can take it in from the pier with its heart-shaped end, or head the other way to a small park for a quieter look at the bay and islands. I liked the view at night just as much as during the day, with the regular fog and lights from the shops and attractions along the shore. The hotel really does have owls, too. Beds and toilets were nice, and at least five sushi places are within a five-minute walk. The staff were accommodating, so I'd readily recommend staying here.

I’ve spent a week here, and the owners and staff have treated my colleagues and me like family. The rooms are clean and roomy, there’s a great cafe downstairs, and they’ll help with just about anything you need.

People gather along the seaside promenade right in front for evening picnics, and the ocean view is beautiful. The hotel is friendly, too. My one gripe was the noisy air conditioning, which made it harder to sleep.

I liked the sea view, and the twin beds left plenty of room. The bed and sofa were comfortable, and the room was tidy. The shower head was broken and sprayed off to the side, so washing my hair was awkward. The sink also drained poorly and quickly filled up even when I was only washing my hands.
