Yeongdeok Gangguhang Cloud Hotel

The hotel is spacious, clean, and great value. But don’t buy crab or eat at the crab market across the street. I’m from Yeongdeok, and I’m not making this up: it’s the biggest scam in South Korea.

The cigarette smell is strong, and with a restaurant downstairs, the odor is bad.

My room looked out over Ganggu Port, and the room itself was spacious, clean, and nice. The hotel is in Ganggu Port, Yeongdeok. They had no rooms left, so I was given a twin room for the standard room rate, 55,000 won on a weekday. I’d recommend it if you have business in Ganggu Port.

Gangnam Snow Crab is right next door, and doing work there followed by the course meal made for a perfect Chuseok holiday. The place is spacious and clean, with a beautiful view of the ocean across the street, though it’s only about a 40% ocean view. Traffic around Yeongdeok was awful, but since our location was across the street, we didn’t hit a single bump and made it safely through the narrow alleys.
