Casablanca

Jeju Casablanca Pension has a slightly exotic look, just as the name suggests, but it fits in nicely with Jeju's natural surroundings. I loved the exterior right away. For our family trip, I wanted somewhere peaceful that still felt like Jeju, and this worked well. Parking was easy, and the area stayed quiet even at night. The room was very clean, the bedding fluffy, and it had the basics we needed. Cooking was easy, too. My parents loved the stay, so I was glad I could show my gratitude to them during our Jeju trip.

Being so far from the city made it a hassle to go back for groceries after shopping, and the mountain location is a bit inconvenient. But a group can stay together comfortably. We had a campfire and an outdoor barbecue, with plenty of seasonings and utensils, which was handy. Just know that you need to bring your own charcoal. The pension didn't supply any, and I was caught off guard since places that offer barbecue usually mention charcoal or sell it there. Bring your own if you're planning to grill.

It's a little far from Seogwipo, which is the one downside. Otherwise, this pension was really great: the facilities, cleanliness, friendly service, space, atmosphere, and price all felt just right. I was only there on a business trip and had time to cook one meal before leaving, which was a shame.

It was clean and tidy, and the owner was very kind. The place is a bit remote, but worked perfectly for our small group gathering. It was especially useful for drying scuba gear.
