Hotel Golden Daisy Seogwipo Ocean

The ocean view from our clean room was amazing. The hotel also made breakfast easy, and the staff were kind and helpful. Its location worked really well for us, with bus stops and good restaurants close by. We had a great stay.

The rooms were okay, though nothing special and a little old. Breakfast was satisfying, with options like noodle soup, stir-fried pork bulgogi, abalone porridge, salads, and an American-style spread. All in all, it was a pleasant stay.

We couldn't get comfortable in the room. It was so stuffy, with no airflow, and there was no way to switch off the heater or turn on the air conditioning. Opening the windows helped, but the noise made it hard to sleep. The room also felt too small for four of us, so we got a second room at check-in. It was very dirty and worn, with dusty carpets and curtains, and clearly hadn't been maintained. If you're driving an SUV, the car park can't fit it, so you have to park farther away on your own.

The worst part was how the front desk handled a toilet that stopped working. After room service had been in on my second night, I came back to find the bowl full to the brim with water. It had worked fine when I left that morning. When I called for help, they handed me a plunger and told me to deal with it myself, even though I hadn't clogged it. The room was visibly dirty from check-in: there were loose hairs on the pillow, a used band-aid in the bathroom, and an unkempt carpet. I found the stay extremely disappointing. No pros for me. The rooms were filthy, the bathroom unhygienic, and staff expected guests to take care of maintenance. Save your money and stay somewhere else in Seogwipo. I wouldn't recommend Hotel Golden Daisy to anyone.
