Jeju Booyoung Resort

I came in November after the season to attend a conference at ICC next door. The weather was still sunny and in the upper 60s. I had a discounted junior suite in the huge hotel, with lots of space. Breakfast wasn't included, but it was worth every penny, the best buffet breakfast I've seen. The shoreline in front of the hotel is breathtaking to explore, and there's a sandy beach a 15-minute walk away.

The hotel is a bit old, but the rooms are big. Teddy bear museum is five minutes away. It's far from the city.

A grand, very nice hotel right next to the ICC, where I attended a conference. The public areas spread across several floors, with lots of polished marble and white walls. I didn't see any dirt or dust. I only used the indoor gym, pool, and sauna, and all were impeccable. You'll need a swim cap for the pool. Bring your own or rent one for a small fee of 3000. The sauna costs an extra 10000, but it's very good. There are also two hot baths at 43C and 38C, plus a lounge bath at 19C.

There's a good convenience store on site and a nice kitchen, though cooking isn't allowed. There are very few dishes, plates, or cups, and the fridge has no ice maker. House shoes are provided, but you'll need to bring your own wash rags. The on-site parking garage is useful, though its spaces are tight, as are parking spaces everywhere on the island. The hotel is safe, clean, and spacious, with fantastic ocean views. The breakfast buffet costs extra, but it's well stocked with Korean and American favorites: eggs, bacon, fish, dumplings, eggs cooked to order, fresh fruit, pastries, and more. Renting a car is the best way to see the island, with hundreds of places to eat and shop.
