Cordelia Hotel

I live on Jeju and often go to Seongsan for staycations, and there are plenty of other places I'd choose. This hotel fell short, especially since there are so many options nearby. The Agoda photos didn't match what was there. One showed a pool with picnic tables and a barbecue beside it, but that setup wasn't there, and two of the pools were empty. The room was clean but shoddy, with holes in both the bedding and towels. Water pressure was good, but a bad showerhead connection made water spray everywhere. It advertises a rooftop garden, but there isn't one. The so-called sunken garden is an outdoor room with tables enclosed in glass, which made me feel like I was in a zoo. The pool is similarly exposed, right in the middle of the square hotel, with every hallway looking down into it.

We were satisfied with our stay in September 2023, even though the photos looked better than things did in person. At check-in, we got vouchers for complimentary welcome drinks. The main issue was bath towels: I'm not sure whether they had run out or don't provide them, but when we asked, they gave us extra hand towels instead. The receptionist I spoke to about it knew only limited English.

Parking filled up quickly in the evening. Our room happened to have a stunning view, and we had a mostly quiet night, but the experience could vary a lot. Other rooms might be noisier and have a poor view.

Great value and excellent service, definitely worth staying here. Getting around is a little inconvenient without a private car.
