The bus stop is about a 15-minute walk, and getting to Jeju City by public transport takes around two hours each way. I've been living in a house like this for two months, and the winter setup is a real problem. The area is exposed and constantly windy, so if the heat is switched off, as locals often do, the warmth disappears in about an hour. Heating the house back up takes several hours, even just for the first floor. The second-floor heating doesn't work, and it's extremely cold up there. The showers feel like being outdoors too.

The pension is old, but it's kept in good shape, and the owner is very kind. I was comfortable there and had a great time hiking Mount Halla.

The owner was really friendly. The rooms were clean and roomy, and the neighborhood was quiet, with pretty surroundings. It was a great experience.
