Jeju Ocean Square Resort

We spent two nights here, and the rooms were exceptional with ocean views. The setting is gorgeous, and there’s a 7-eleven on the property for late-night snacks. After 10pm it’s unmanned, so you need a credit card to buy anything. We could only get breakfast, though, as there’s no dinner service. There isn’t a proper restaurant nearby either. The closest one is almost 2km away.

I can’t comment on the hotel stay because illness kept me from travelling. I told the hotel six days ahead that I was medically unfit to fly, but they still charged the full cancellation fee, the entire price of the 3-night stay. There was no flexibility or empathy, even though they could likely have rebooked the room. A disappointing customer service experience.

The beds were comfortable and the rooms clean, though we couldn’t keep the temperature comfortable and woke up hot in the middle of the night. After a busy day exploring Jeju, it was lovely to see the ocean and pool views at Ocean Square Resort. The staff were friendly and very helpful, and showed us to our room. It’s a great hotel.

Breakfast was awesome, with cereal, bread, toast, porridge, milk, and coffee, though I wish it ran longer than 8am-9am. Having a 7-Eleven attached to the hotel made it extra convenient to get food, and it was a big plus that the hosts and management could speak English in Jeju. This has easily been the best place we’ve stayed so far in Jeju. The location, hospitality, cleanliness, and breakfast were all excellent. Highly recommend staying here!
