JW Marriott Jeju Resort & SPA

The staff were warm, professional, and attentive across the resort, and the evening turndown service was a lovely sign of their care. Dinner at The Flying Hog was excellent too. We spent 3 nights in the Panorama Suite, with ocean views from the balcony that were breathtaking. The suite was huge, and the bed and comforter were among the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. There’s plenty to enjoy around the property, from the coastal scenery and trails to the heated pool overlooking the sea. Oreve Spa was great, and I especially loved the hot springs and jjimjil spa, with its oxygen room, snow room, and other therapeutic spaces. I hadn’t experienced anything like it before, and found it relaxing and rejuvenating. Jeju is beautiful on its own, and the resort made the trip even better. One of my best resort stays.

The evening campfire was a memorable touch, and the staff were friendly and attentive in numbers throughout our stay. Service was excellent, and the property itself is beautiful. Breakfast got repetitive after more than three days. The Korean choices were good, but there wasn’t much variety or many international options. The brunch was great, and I wish they’d brought that idea to breakfast or added more choices. For what we paid, the rooms also felt quite small. Still, we had a lovely stay.

The location and grounds are lovely, and the rooms were OK, if a bit small for the price. Everyone we met was nice, but the service overall fell well short of what the cost suggests, and the stay felt underwhelming. There’s no bar, though no one told us that. We were directed to a restaurant and seated at a large table among the diners. The pool area is lovely, and seemed to be the only outdoor place with seats and service. After a long day exploring, we went there for a drink and were told we could only stay in swimwear. We changed, came back, and then struggled to get anyone’s attention all afternoon. Breakfast could use more Western options. We could order scrambled eggs and bacon, but had to pay extra for fruit. Both times, the coffee arrived halfway through breakfast. We were also told there would be a 7am yoga class, but when we showed up, they said there had never been one at 7am.

I loved wandering through the different parts of the park and taking in the views. The hotel feels like a little world of its own, with gorgeous design and spotless surroundings. The staff made me feel so welcome and the hospitality was top-notch. I had an amazing stay and can’t wait to return.
