There’s a lovely ocean view, and the facility is new, less than a year old, and reasonably clean. Ediya, a convenience store, and a supermarket are all close by. The bedding is the part I wasn’t comfortable with. The thick blankets and pillows are hard to replace, so I wondered if they’re actually washed between guests. I’d prefer more hygienic bedding like you get at hotels and resorts.

You’re right by Namwon Seawater Pool, with the ocean just across from you. Namwon Town is also right in front, and Hanaro Mart is only about a five-minute drive away. The location is great, but the building is old and the facilities show it. If that isn’t a big concern for you, it could still be okay.

The grounds are really spacious, with a courtyard laid out for approach and putting instead of extra buildings or parking. Past the palm trees, there’s a view of Jeju’s blue sea. The owner clearly has a distinctive sense of design and value. I’d especially recommend it to golfers.

I wasn’t able to take pictures, but the place was awful. The room smelled musty as soon as I walked in, and even the towels had an odor. The bathroom door was broken and wouldn’t shut, the refrigerator didn’t work, and there was no toilet paper. The owner was unfriendly, too.

You can watch the waves from this seafront pension in Seogwipo. The tourist spots take a bit of a trip to reach, but it’s a good fit if you enjoy fishing.
