It was a strange, functional place, but I wouldn’t choose it for a holiday because it brought the mood down. The hotel was close to my diving school, though getting to the more central area meant quite a walk. They operate on a no-contact basis, and the whole building was empty when I arrived alone, which gave me a bit of a scare. Later that night I heard noises from a hallway I thought was deserted. My double room was tiny, and the walls were covered in mosquitoes that looked like they’d been killed with bug spray. Some were still alive, though, and I woke up with bites.

The front desk person went out of his way to drive us and help us order food at a couple of great restaurants. We got really good recommendations too. My wife and I have traveled all over Asia, and Pine Hill Hotel may be the best value and friendliest place we’ve stayed. It’s in a great location, and the room was comfortable.

The location is hard to beat: no noisy traffic, and the waterfalls, the nice bridge, and other attractions are easy to reach on foot. Our room was clean, and fresh towels and water arrived each day. The staff were friendly and helpful. A 10/10 stay! Greetings from holland and france!

I stayed for three nights, and it felt like a ghost town. There was nobody for check-in and no self-check-in option, which was devastating. The lobby was dark, the reception was empty, and there was no room service. The place looked dirty and poorly maintained. Exposed plugs and wires in the room were dangerous. If you want a spooky ghost-town experience, you might like it, but think twice before booking.

The room was clean but on the small side, while the bathroom had plenty of space. It’s about a five-minute walk to the bus stop for Jeju City, and the quay is also within walking distance.
