I wasn’t allowed to play because I was by myself. Maybe that’s a common rule in Korea, but it sucks. Being alone means I can’t play the sport? Stupid.

I’d been to this golf course once before COVID-19, so coming back felt like a fresh experience. The turf was definitely different from what you find in the metropolitan area. I also liked that the clubhouse was leased rather than run by a management company.

The views made the course a lot of fun, especially the ocean-facing holes with the islands off Wimi in sight and the hole looking toward Hallasan Peak. This was my first time playing a golf course on Jeju Island, and bringing a member made it very affordable. There aren’t many out-of-bounds areas, and the hazards are well managed, so beginners can save strokes here. The layout has a Spring course through a cypress forest and a Dale course in natural forest. Greens range from two tiers to three, and the Par 3 with a four-tier green really stood out.

I’ve heard this course is good value, and the scenery and course conditions were excellent. It does seem to need quite a bit of infrastructure improvement.
