STARVILLE

The price is the one thing that stopped me giving this five stars. It’s crazy expensive, like everything in Korea aimed at anyone other than the “drink-with-my-buddies” crowd. It’s 650,000 KRW (around $500) per night, plus 120,000 KRW (around $100) per person for BBQ. I got a big discount, thankfully, but at full price I’d have spent a couple grand for a couple nights. If it were closer to 400,000-450,000 KRW a night and maybe 80,000 KRW per person, I think I’d be completely satisfied paying full price. My wife and I had the time of our lives at Starville. The “tents” are more than adequate, and the two air conditioners can cool or heat the whole space without any trouble because it’s sealed well enough. The amenities and facilities are great, and the service is amazing.

Spent two nights at canvas. Great K-BBQ, lovely pools, really nice facilities, and super kind crew.

The stars were so clear at night, which was wonderful. The site is operated by CJ, and the facilities and service were excellent, as you’d expect from a large corporation rather than a private business. I got a discount as a CJ employee. There are lots of attractions to enjoy, making it a good family trip, though it’s deep in the mountains, so bringing some food could be a good idea. I’d definitely come back.
