It’s a quiet, affordable place that works well for families and for exploring the island, sitting about halfway between Seogwipo and Jeju. There are studio rooms as well as detached units. The building exterior looks worn with age, but the paths and gardens are well cared for. Towels and bathroom amenities are provided in limited amounts.

A budget place with an orchard and a few puppies. There was only one staff member, and the shower was slow. The phone number won’t work in car navigation, so it needs to be entered in Korean.

The grounds could use some care, and there are loads of bugs. The building and amenities feel old, though they’re fairly clean. I liked the walking path in the backyard.

At Jeju Seongam Folk Village, three long wooden sticks at the entrance show whether the residents are home or away. It’s a village with a long history.
