WE Hotel Jeju

Tak made the stay especially easy, keeping us updated and answering whatever we asked. The hotel was being renovated, but it didn't cause us any inconvenience. We spent a few lovely days there, relaxing and unwinding.

We stayed at We hotel Jeju for two nights, from 22nd Sep to 24 Sep 25. It was calm and peaceful, surrounded by forest. There were deer crossing signs along the way, though luckily we didn't see one. It's a good place to recover from the daily rush. The wellness centre looked appealing, but we didn't have time to use it. The hotel is a little out of the way, so having your own transport is preferable. A shuttle runs to and from Jeju airport and from Hoesu rotary or Jungmun postoffice, but the schedule is limited, so check the hotel website. Our room was on level 3, where we could see the surrounding trees. Level 5 rooms have the best distant sea and partial city views. Rooms are on levels 3 and 5, with no second or fourth floor rooms. Level 6 is a rooftop garden, though I assume access from the lobby lift is only available if you sign up for wellness. The level 5 non-carpeted room has a step up from the entrance, around the toilet bathroom area, into the living space. Watch your step there to avoid a nasty fall. Level 3 rooms are normal rooms, partly carpeted, without that hazard. We slept soundly, with three pillows each after requesting an extra set, one hard and one soft as standard. We heard little outside noise. The air conditioning was fine except in the suite. The lobby is spacious, and although there are stairs up to it, there are escalators too. Check-in was quick and courteous. Concierge staff brought all our luggage up to the rooms on a trolley. When we arrived, a courteous concierge helped with our many bags while I parked. The parking directly in front has fewer than 10 marked spaces and fills fast. People had parked creatively to squeeze in more cars, but it still wasn't enough, so others had to use a more distant lot, inconvenient with lots of luggage. There's currently one EV charger tucked in what seemed to be a staff parking corner, with no clear sign. You might find an EV truck charging there. I charged my rental Ioniq 6 from lotte rent a car, but couldn't read the Korean instructions. I managed a slow charge, 68% to 90% in four hours, and got mosquito bites while waiting. I gave the GM feedback that the spaces were limited and tight, and hope the charger can be moved in front of the lobby by my next visit. Breakfast was delicious, with more Korean options such as rice and kimchi alongside western items like sausages, french fries, and bacon. There was an egg station run by a chef and a pho station serving beef noodle soup. Dinner was nice too, especially the fresh, juicy salmon, fitting for a 5 star hotel. I was glad to find English breakfast tea, which had been hard to come by throughout jeju. The service really stood out. At breakfast, we saw a man in a chef's uniform serving guests, and thought he was a sous chef. It turned out to be the hotel's GM Kang. He was humble and personal, asking how the food was and whether we had any feedback. We mentioned wanting dinner at the hotel for an upcoming birthday, with a menu change since we don't take beef, and he passed our request to the manager in charge. He served us and other guests himself, not because they were short of wait staff. We also saw him personally take iced lemon tea to the workmen fixing the lobby porch ceiling in the hot weather. He was back at the tables the next morning asking guests for feedback. The way he made us feel at home means we'll definitely return to We hotel next time we're in Jeju.

Our room looked out over lovely forest scenery, and the staff gave excellent service. A great option if you want a hotel close to nature.

I booked two rooms, one for 3 adults and one for 2. At check-in, the staff insisted that I pay an extra 66 thousand won for the fifth person. I showed them the booking with 5 people linguines, but they said it was impossible and still demanded payment. I'm deeply frustrated and angry about how they handled it. They kept telling me I was wrong instead of trying to sort it out.
