We had a really good stay, and the owner made a huge difference. Our next stop was Taean to see the tulips, but the guesthouse there had no record of our reservation, so we were left without a place to stay. She waited while sorting things out, and when she couldn't secure a room in Taean, she found us one back in Seosan even though her own hotel was fully booked. She also drove us to see the tulips, waited for us, and brought us back without charging extra. That night she pointed us to a place serving Samgyetang. The room itself was comfortable, there were buses nearby and some nice places to eat, and I'd stay here again if I return to Seosan.

The bed and bedding were genuinely comfortable, which matters just as much as the location when you're traveling. For the price, I can live with what feels a little lacking. It's suitable for families, friends, or a business trip, though couples might be better off elsewhere. The indirect lighting gives the place an old tourist hotel feel. Maybe brighter lights wouldn't have looked much better, anyway. There are outlets on both sides of the bed, but the one on one side didn't work.

The owner and staff were friendly, and the place was clean enough that the older facilities didn't cause any trouble during my stay. It's near Beonhwa-ro in Seosan, with a decent location and a good price.

There were used toothbrushes left around the bathroom, and the cleaning was a complete mess. The fridge didn't even have water in it, so the place didn't seem properly managed. I booked by phone ahead of time because I'd heard accommodation apps take a big commission. Even so, they quoted me a higher price, and the owner hadn't properly checked the reservation I'd made.
