The low price came with free breakfast basics, toast, juice, and eggs, and the cleanliness impressed us. It was one of the cleanest and best-run hostels we came across in Seoul. Finding our way at first was a little confusing, but since we had a reservation, the host came back shortly after we arrived and we only waited a few minutes.

I had a frustrating time sorting out an incorrect deposit charge. It took an accidental second charge to my card and nearly an hour to cancel all the deposit transactions. I also arrived during the lunch closure at reception and couldn’t reach staff, so I had to wait outside until they returned. Staff speak little or no English, which can lead to misunderstandings. The hostel itself is small and pleasant, but it’s in a somewhat forgotten part of Seoul. There isn’t much to do nearby beyond the forest, and the area is mostly for students at Kyunghee and HUFS, so it may not suit everyone.

It’s clean and a good place, but there’s no staff there full time. Arriving early or late makes check-in difficult, and you could end up waiting outside in the cold.

The shared areas were clean and well equipped, but the room felt too small. The price was good, and the location was convenient.
