Hotel Loft

The room setup made the lighting awkward and a bit annoying to use. We stayed in a twin deluxe, which had loads of space and a huge bathroom. Service was great: they replenished the water whenever they cleaned, laundry was free, and the staff helped call taxis and make dinner reservations. I wouldn’t call it family-friendly, though. The room beside ours was loud, and I’ll leave it at that. It seems much more suited to couples.

I knew the location wasn’t central before booking, and the neighborhood didn’t have much going on. The metro is only a short walk away, though. If it’s your first time in Seoul, I’d stay somewhere you can walk straight out into the city’s energy, especially in summer, instead of depending on the metro. My room was clean, fairly spacious for Seoul, and a reasonable price. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I was at the end of my trip and mostly needed a place to sleep before going to the airport. The room was on the dark side, which fits the boutique style. Some people may prefer big windows and more natural light, so it comes down to taste.

The service was great and the location was nice, and the place does have a rustic charm. Still, I should’ve looked into it more before booking because it really has a premium love hotel feel. My room had only one window and barely any light, and it hadn’t been cleaned properly. I even found condoms under the bed.

The bed was really comfortable, and the room was plenty big, with a nice bathroom and good amenities. For the price, Hotel Loft was a good fit. The station is about a five-minute walk, with a direct line to the nearest attractions. The bathroom sits in the main room and its doors are only partly frosted, which could feel awkward if you’re not staying as a couple. They also charge extra if you want to check in before the set time. Even so, I’d stay again.
