The rooms were clean, and for what you get, I think the price is fair. The area can look a little sketchy at first, but it’s completely safe. You may not see any other foreigners around, which is fine. Getting downtown is easy from this location.

The room itself is cramped, with barely enough space around the bed to unpack comfortably, though the bathroom is roomy. I had to hunt a bit to find the outlets tucked under the table. The location is handy, about a five-minute walk from Gildong Station on Line 5, with an eMart, 7-Eleven, and plenty of 24-hour restaurants nearby. It’s still quite far from downtown Seoul. There’s a microwave outside the room, and the building manager can lend you a portable scale to weigh your luggage.

It’s handy for both the subway station and the concert venue, so one or two nights would be fine. My room faced the main street, with an izakaya downstairs, and the poor soundproofing meant it got noisy at night. I also suspect there were dust mites in the bedding, since my eyes and nose might have been irritated.

The place was well cleaned, and even the air conditioner was super clean. The mattress was actually a soft, high latex topper, which made it comfortable to watch Netflix on. ♡
